I'm heading the NYC tomorrow night and will be down there for a long weekend. Since Alaska has basically nothing in the way of capoeira supplies, I would like to take the opportunity to do a wee bit of shopping for capoeira CDs, DVDs, and clothing. Could you point out any good shops that you know about (or an open game that may be occurring this first weekend of February)?

I dont know any "shops" per se, but i know the various teachers in the area would be more than happy to supply you with capo-wares. Though most merchandise you'll run into will be group specific.
Check out Mestre Joao Grande's academy thats for sure. -
