Nickname/Apelido: Explanation of name/Origem de nome: Compromisso; it means dedication. I believe when i received the name from my Instructor Gaivota, i was one of his first students to always attend weekly class, events, rodas, etc. so he decided to call me Compromisso! cool name, i like it although tough to live up to as many people are much more dedicated to capoeira i am these days.

About Me:: I began my training with Nacaco Capoeira of New Jersey under Mestre Bayano, but directly trained under Asustado. Then moved on to Grupo Liberdade of Montclair, NJ under Instructor Gaivota at the time, later trained in NYC with Njoli and Puck of Grupo FICA NYC capoeira angola. In total id say ive been around the capoeira scene for about 3 years. Now you may find in the mix of House\Salsa dancing Capoeira and my IT Career.
